Delivering software that matters with BDD and Symfony2 - by Konstantin Kudryashov
Delivering projects gets easier every year thanks to great frameworks like Symfony. But often we still have to come to the conclusion that choosing the best technology does not always ensure delivery of a successful project. Even the most technologically advanced projects sometimes fail to achieve desired goals. How can we make sure that we're using all the tools available to deliver value instead of features? You will learn that and much more in this presentation about blending BDD and Symfony2.
About Konstantin
Often better known through his online handle everzet (https://twitter.com/everzet), Konstantin Kudryashov is a BDD evangelist, and the creator of Behat, Mink, Prophecy and PhpSpec2. Konstantin currently is employed as the BDD Practice Manager at Inviqa in London.
How we use docker for our dev environment
- by Toni Van de Voorde
To run the Adlogix platform we need to set up many systems and apps like Symfony 1 & 2, Composer, Phpunit, Php, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Ant, Java, ... Needless to say that recreating this stack on each dev machine is a tedious job. This talk covers our experience with making that tedious job a fun one with Docker, and how we handled some issues like using composer with private repos.
About Toni
Toni Van de Voorde started his professional career working as Java developer on the Belpic project (BE eID card). In 2007 he made a career move to join the startup company Adlogix to work on a promising tool for web publishers. Symfony was among the technologies, and it was the beginning of an ongoing love story ;). Since 2011 he's CTO at Adlogix. If he's not working or learning new things, he enjoys life with his wife and 2 kids.
Please confirm your presence as soon as possible, as seats are limited! Hope to meet you there!
