Network visualisation for fun and profit

This talk is about networks - social networks, communication networks, even criminal networks. Networks are everywhere and are very important predictors of behaviour. But to truly understand a network, one has to see it. This talk will show a variety of techniques for visualising and analysing network data with lots of live demos.

Joe has sixteen years' experience of visualising networks within law enforcement and national security. Following a successful career at i2 (now IBM), Joe founded Cambridge Intelligence three years ago with the aim of producing a new generation of network analysis tools. The first of these - KeyLines - was an immediate hit. Used by over fifty organisations for security analytics and anti-fraud, including Visa, FICO and TripAdvisor, it now has deployments in fourteen countries.

ClusterPoint - XML NoSQL Database engine

The talk introduces a new NoSQL database and some of its features including “Real-time aggregation”, “XML document database” and “Rest API”.

Romans has been a freelance web developer since 1994 and is now an Open-Source contributor, mainly focusing on PHP Frameworks and PAAS / SAAS infrastructure design using modern components - CoreOS, Docker, Dokku.
