Hi Marianne. First, I am deeply sorry what you and your husband are going through. I feel that both of you made the right decision to natural treatment. I am a caregiver of my church family who now has a stage 4 cancer and the hospice are visiting us frequently. He moved with me about a week ago after he had gone some chemotherapy and decided to stop.  I am, with the help of my church family, treating him with vegetable juices and vegetable smoothies and homeopathic supplements. If you are interested we could get together here at my house and I could share with you our treatment and you could share what you have, knowledge that is...Here's my address 4231 Kirkcaldy Dr San Diego, CA 92111 my name is Marilou and my phone no. is[masked]

ust wanted to send you a quick message to let you know what is going on over here.
Recently, my husband was diagnosed with cancer and we decided to bring him back to perfect health through natural means. He first spend 2 weeks at the Optimal Health Institute here in lemon Grove and now we are following the Gerson Therapy. Even though all the literature is warning that the therapy requires a lot of work, I wasn't quite prepared how much work this really is. I don't want to go into details (if you are interested, contact me and I am happy to share - if I have time:), but I am finding myself to literally have no time left for even my garden. I am hoping this will get better, but for the time being, I am dropping anything and everything I was doing.

I am sharing this for 2 reasons. One is that we are going through insane amounts of produce and would welcome any extras (organic only) you might have. High on the list are lettuce - dark leaf varieties such as Romaine, Green Leaf, Red Leaf, Escarole; Potatoes; Carrots; Onions;Red cabbage; Oranges; Lemons; Apples; and other fresh vegies in season. Feel free to share :) or to plant extra.

The second reason is that even though I am hoping that this will turn into a more manageable routine and I will be back in action, I am calling on all of you to keep this club going. I think we had a great start and that we all feel a need to continually learn and also to share what we know. April will post all the Edible Society meetings at the site - thank you, April - and I encourage all of you to attend, but also would love for you to come up with meet up ideas and post them here. It could be a garden tour, a trip to one or several nurseries, a workday at your yard, or to come together in somebodies yard for a coffee or a potluck anything. Please step up and be a leader.

That is all for now and hope you all are well.

Marianne
