Mini Mid-Week Night Hike: Juan Bautista de Anza Park in Calabasas

NOTE TO OUR REGULAR HIKERS:
Since it's getting dark earlier, we've changed the location to back to Juan Bautista Park.
THIS IS A THURSDAY NIGHT.
PLEASE follow the directions to the park as written below. The meetup directions are incorrect.
THIS A CONDITIONING HIKE! Our group hikes at a minimum of 2.5 miles per hour. You must be able to keep up with the group. Please sign up for this conditioning hike only if you can do this.
Use the directions to the trailhead as described below.
If we leave right on time at 6:00 pm we're done around 7:30 pm at the latest.
Bring a flashlight or headlamp. You must be able to hike 2.5 miles per hour at a minimum.
Four miles and elev. gain of 600 may be too much for a beginning hiker.
If you are used to small hills you will be fine though.
The description is as follows for the mini-hike: Talepop Loop Event Description:
This is a relatively easy hike for a regular hiker( 4 miles 600' elev gain)
with pleasant views of oak studded rolling hills. The hike starts out at
Juan Bautista de Anza Park, connects with the Talepop Loop trail and
climbs a ridgeline with nice views of both Liberty and Malibu Canyons.
Juan Bautista de Anza Park 3701 Lost Hills Road Calabasas, CA 91302 Park
is on the corner of Las Virgenes and Lost Hills Rds.
Meet at west end of parking lot. Parking is free.
Suggestion:Wear long pants/sleeves as the brush on either sides of
the trail can be very dry and sharp if you rub against it.
Directions :
From the Valley - Take 101 west. Exit Las Virgenes. Left on Las Virgenes to Lost Hills Rd. Right on Lost Hills. Left into Park
From Ventura - Take 101 east. Exit Lost Hills Rd. Right on Lost Hills. Right into the park.
What to Bring : 1 liter of water, hiking shoes (tennis shoes are ok).
