WORKSHOP: Build an Open Source Dev Environment

Details
NEW EVENT
What is the one thing that programming classes don't teach you...how to set up a development environment! We will be going through how to install a simple, 1 stop solution to being able to do Open Source Development with PHP (XAMPP). In addition, we will also set up Eclipse to work with XAMPP for the best results.
I will be going through setting this up on Windows machines (sorry Mac users...).
****Things you need IN ADVANCE:
• Download, but don't install, Eclipse. The link is: CLICK HERE (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/index-developer.php) (I suggest the Standard Build...you can add things yourself from there)
• Download and Install Java Runtime Environment, if you haven't already. The link is: CLICK HERE (http://java.com/en/)
• Download, but don't install, XAMPP. The link is: CLICK HERE (https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html) (I suggest version 1.8.3)
If you have any questions regarding what to download, feel free to comment. I will respond prior to the event. BRING YOUR LAPTOPS.
Keep in mind as well that you will need to be ON TIME for this type of event, and please check in with the security desk when you arrive.
The address to our facility is:
Terraces South (building next to Perimeter Mall)
115 Perimeter Center Place, Suite 850
Atlanta, GA 30346
We have a parking deck attached to the building. Please make sure you go to the main entrance. When you get off the elevators on the 8th floor, we are the only ones there. Go to the main entrance for entry to our class room. The easiest way into the facility is to turn left onto Perimeter Center Place from Ashford Dunwoody (coming from I-285). We are the second driveway past the McDonalds on the right.
