Big Sur, SFO & Napa Wine Train

I along with a couple of friends are planning a ride to Napa to experience the Vista Dome Wine train from there. Our tentative program is as follows:

1/27/12 Friday leave LA for Napa via PCH and stop in Santa Barbara to pick up a rider on the way. Spend the night in Napa.

1/28/12 Saturday tour Sonoma and or/ leave for SFO, ride over the Golden Gate bridge to Marshall heading to Nicks Cove for early lunch via the PCH, then head back to hotel. Spend night there.

1/29/12 Sunday take shuttle or taxi to the wine train at 10am, lunch, and train returns around 2:30pm. Rest at the hotel after wine tasting etc. Dinner and relax. No riding. See link for details of cost http://winetrain.com/lunch

1/30/12 Monday morning leisurely breakfast, Big Sur and then leave for LA. We have done this ride once before and it was great fun and experience. We stopped at many places for meals, gas and photos, We saw a lot of nice scenery and it was really an adventure. This is a great trip for someone who has never been on a long trip and and awesome chance for you to get to know your bike, road and riding.

Please RSVP as early as possible in order to arrange hotel rooms at the places we will be staying. I am planning on a maximum rate for the hotel $80/night, add $25/day gas and $40/day meals. These are estimated expenses to have an idea.

Make sure your insurance is valid and AAA card has a RV/Motorcycle coverage in case of emergency. Please ensure your motorcycle is fully serviced and in good running condition prior to departure to have a nice trip.
