We will meet at the awesome co-working space Stockwerk (http://www.stockwerk.co.at/), where we start at 7 pm sharp. Roland Schütz (https://www.meetup.com/viennaphp/members/12612707/), ob behalf of ViennaPHP, presents a 30 minute talk about Contao (the former TYPOlight, if you remember). Then, over the strech of one hour, the Philipp Bergsmann, Markus Klein and Florian Weiss present the TYPO3 family and its products, focusing on what the audience prefers.
This is a very great opportunity to present TYPO3 to a larger piece of the php community. So reserve the date and be there!
AGENDA
• Welcome by Sebastian Göttschkes (https://www.meetup.com/viennaphp/members/39941682/), organizer of ViennaPHP
• "Modern Web Development with the Open-Source CMS Contao" by Roland Schütz (https://www.meetup.com/viennaphp/members/12612707/): "In modern web development things like page speed and accessibility become more important then ever and many current CMS are not ready for the task. Contao provides a professional, flexible, clean structure for building state-of-the-art websites. In contrast to many other content management systems Contao is extremely modular, every part of the framework can be overridden or extended by modules and templates. Through examples this talk will give a sneak peak into developing websites with Contao."
• "The TYPO3 Eco-System" by Philipp Bergsmann (https://www.meetup.com/viennaphp/members/69511452/): "Over the years TYPO3 became the home to many different products, each of them having its own unique features, requirements and history whilst sharing a common bond. A short presentation of the TYPO3 family and its products."
• "The TYPO3 CMS" by Markus Klein: "TYPO3 CMS 6.2 was release in March 2014 as the latest Long Term Support version. Among the many new features, one of the most important tasks was to rebase the CMS on Extbase, integrating FAL and extensibility. Meanwhile, future perspectives for the next major release have been agreed upon. A presentation of the core feature of TYPO3 CMS and the upcoming roadmap."
• "TYPO3 Neos" by Florian Weiss: "The "Next Generation Open Source Content Management System" sets new standards in content editing. Build with TYPO3 Flow, it is not only a proof-of-concept, but also a game changer in the world of content editing. A presentation of the key concepts of the workflow, its integration interface and its awesomeness :-)"

The next TUGA will be on November 4th in Linz. One of the topics will be a discussion about the upgrade from 4.5 to 6.2. It is not meant to be a talk, but a collaboration among us bringing in your experiences and maybe putting together something like a "best-practice cheat sheet".
If you would like to present a talk or would like to hear something about a special topic, please let us know, wither via Facebook or in the comments here. We are of course always looking for talks! Thank you!
See you soon!
