We like to move it, move it!
Modern living means a life surrounded by screens. Our lives are increasingly dominated by smart phones, tablets, HDTV's and computers. While shopping, we encounter restaurant menus on screens. We pay for our gas via a screen. Some screens display new products at retailers and on our drive home, a screen in our car gives us directions, controls our stereo and even lets us see what's behind the car as we back up. Welcome to the age of screens.
In this transformative conversation led by Lumix Luminary Giulio Sciorio, you’ll learn new and exciting ways to have your work stand out in the age of screens by adding a new dimension to your portraits - Animation.
Note: Intro to Animated Portraits is an evolving conversation on one possible future of photography. In this special TWiP edition we dive into the latest in mirrorless camera technology, the Lumix GH4 — and demonstrate how, with just one shoot, photographers can now truly create a multiple media!
Topics will include:
Why do photographers need to shoot motion?
The difference between shooting motion like a photographer, versus filmmaker.
What exactly is an Animated Portrait? (Hint: It's not an animated GIF).
Basics on how to light, direct, and finish a Cinemagraph (animated still).
What's the difference between file formats? And when to use them.
What is 4K and how to make high quality prints from video.
Identifying the current market and future market demand.
How to begin marketing animated portraits.
How to deliver animated portraits to clients.
And to get you in the mood for this meetup!
