Hello Everyone!

The annual Permaculture Convergence is an exciting event happening this
year in West Seattle from September 17-19. We host workshops on all manner
of pemaculture topics, update each other about many local projects, and
host a thriving -and growing- northwest community. This year's keynote
speaker will be Mark Lakeman from City Repair, to knock our socks off
about all the abundant possibilities in urban areas. Come one come all!

We think it's been worth the wait. Now all the pieces are in place,
including paypal, to fully register using our website: You will find instructions for both paypal and
check registration there now! Try it out! Early Bird pricing ends August
15th. We hope you will find registration smooth and uncomplicated.

Beds and cabins are also filling up for Camp Long. Don't wait if you plan
to sleep there. Camp Long is its own sweet space in the city.

Meanwhile, check out the growing "Presenters" page on our website! So
far, quite a bit will be presented around the built environment, growing
food, and soil conditioning: from Paul Wheaton's "Wofati Ecobuilding" and
Emet Degirmenci's review of traditional natural building in Turkey, to a
tour of SeaChar's "Carbon Garden" on the college campus and Casey Mullen's
(Fungi Perfecti) "Mushrooms in the Landscape." So much more on the
website -- and more to come!

As a connected event, the Cascadian Transition Town movement is planning
their own Transition Convergence. It will be happening Thursday, Sept
16th at South Seattle Community College. They'll be in the Chan building
on the north end of campus. All are welcome to come early and

And spread the word!! Post on your blogs and calendars, invite your
facebook and twitter pals, and otherwise get the word out! Both a color
and a black and white poster are now available on the website for you to
download and post. We appreciate anything you are able to do.

Thank you for your participation and enthusiasm. Bringing the fabulous
Northwest Permaculture community together is what makes this so much fun!
