The field of natural resources during several years of my career. During that time, I developed expertise in design and implementation of quality assurance and control, resource characterization, database management, data compilation, analysis and publication, instrumentation, training and leadership.
My recent degree in database technology will be valuable in almost any setting that would benefit from analysis or a presence on the Web. In my ideal world, I'd like a job contributing to the conservation of our fresh water and all natural resources. Millions suffer from polluted or inadequate water resources.
I am in the midst of the 'biggest job search'. I comb job boards every day and yes, I do have horror stories. I'd prefer to talk about 'now' and avoid any future horror stories.
I learned today (thanks, Andy) that I need to pick one goal/job, and address how my experience and education has prepared me to do this job.
I want to meet fellow Tacomans. I'd like to learn some little clues to open the door to my next career opportunity. I'd also like to share my experiences with the group and hope that something I share will allow someone else to find what they are looking for.
Most recently, I earned an associates degree studying database technology at Bates Technical College. Prior to that, I worked at Weyerhaeuser as a seedling research investigator and a water resource technician with US Geological Survey.
I learn something new at each meeting.
