Flag to GC Mountain Bike Ride

Details
Hi, everybody.
Some friends and I are biking from Flag to the Grand Canyon on the forest roads.
It looks like we may have some slots open, so I am posting this.
We will camp Friday night near Flagstaff and start biking Saturday morning. We will bike about 55 miles on the Forest roads, camp in the Forest Sat night and do the last 25 miles on Sunday. We will camp at the Grand Canyon Sunday Night and return on Monday. This means if you join us you will be playing hooky on Monday. If you have to work on Monday, don't sign up.
I will be limiting the size of this trip for logistical reasons. Priority will be given to the people who went last time, followed by out of towners flying in, then people who sign up on this website. I will be kicking the first two categories off the fence shortly so I know who is going and how many slots I have.
This is a fairly punishing trip. I will be speaking to anyone who wants to join us to make sure they are capable of completing this trip without drama. Attendees will not be selected in the order that they sign up, but by competence.
This is also a fairly disorganized trip. Things may not go as planned.(in fact, this is very likely, judging from the last time we did this). We may get lost. You may get lost. You may bonk. You may wreck. Etc, Etc.... You need to have the proper sense of humor and attitude to deal with things when they go wrong. This is not a commercial trip. This is an adventure, and you need to be reasonably self sufficient and good with directions. Last time we had a blast!
I will be nailing down attendees in the next week or two so people can train.
We will be splitting the costs of the trip evenly among the bikers. We will be covering all expenses for the meatwagon drivers. Last time it was pretty cheap.
if you are interested in joining us, you need to send me an email with your name and phone number so I can call you and speak to you about the details. If you just sign up on the website without sending an email, you will not be considered for the trip.
We may also need a volunteer or two to drive the sag vehicles. All of your expenses will be covered for the weekend. if you are interested in driving and are competent and experienced pulling a trailer, give me a call: 480-296-5166.
Later
Pat
