7 Falls, Sabino Canyon, Tucson--17 mile loop

The weather is still suitable for hiking in the Sabino Canyon but won't be for much longer with the pending heat coming our way. There are two hikes, and 8 miler and a 17 miler, posted this day with both visiting 7 Falls located in Bear Canyon. This trail description is for the 17 miler which will encircle Thimble Peak (exerpted from hikearizona.com):

After following the trail leading to the Bear Canyon TH for 1.6 miles we will use the Phoneline Trail to reach the Sabino Canyon Trail.  From the Sabino Canyon Trail we will follow the East Fork to the West and meet with the Bear Canyon Trail to reach the Falls and finish the loop.  Please refer to the following pages for more information:

This is a STUNNING hike that actually ended up being 19.6 miles with the fastest hikers comlpeting the hike in 5.5-6 hours (including breaks)! Even at half-flow the falls were amazing. A definite repeat.

No, this is not the Sabino-Bear loop as they use the paved road--this hike is on dirt :)

Duly noted Lisa. On the interactive map at the bottom of the hikeaz links you posted above, would this be the "sabino-bear loop"?
