Hello everyone,

I wanted to remind you all of our unique meeting format for the upcoming meeting October 13th, and that it will not be a success unless you actively participate, some of which must be in advance of the meeting.

People can only volunteer to be Mentors based on requested topics, so the topic requests and questions must come first. Please take a few minutes and go to the Share the Knowledge post on our site, read Michael Bishop's piece on how the event will work, and leave a comment and get the discussion started.

If the topic areas are known early, a person with strong knowledge in one part of WP could choose to be a Mentor for that one topic, without having to be an expert in all things WP. It also gives prospective Mentors time to bone up a little more for the meeting, helping them increase their own knowledge as well. One of the very best ways to learn something is to prepare for writing or teaching about it.

I believe this format has real potential for us, and hope you'll get involved soon. With your participation it could be something really special.

Thanks in advance,

John Biddle
