February 23, 2011
I have been trading a bit for a decade as an avocation, based on fundamentals and a lot of reading. I began trading a great deal in September of 2010, and was having a great deal of success for someone with no education in this field, still using fundamentals. I started courses at OTA in February of 2011, and have taken all of their basic asset classes except Forex, and am in All Asset Mastery, so am slowly learning about Forex in that class Originally trained in OB/GYN and Psychiatry, I practiced for over 20 years in St Pete before needing to stop due to health problems. This is perfect for me now, to trade at home and have a flexible schedule, much more than a one woman practice would allow!
Right now I am trading only Futures, but am soon going to open an account for stocks, ETFs and selling options.
I have NEVER been a superstitious person. However, I feel I am almost "jinxed" when I trade in my house. It seems that no matter how PERFECT the set up looks, every time I enter the trade, it immediately turns around against me. It MAY stop me out, or just make me wait in agony to see if price decides to turn again on its expected course. While visiting a college friend in West Palm, I made more money in 10 days than I made all year. I am thinking of moving....
I am Diane Sutton, a physician, and I live in St Petersburg. My trading education has occurred predominantly through OTA.
I feel it's a WONDERFUL group/idea, and plan to attend everyone that I can. I am limited only by the distance away from where I live, and having to battle rush hour traffic to make it to the Meet Up. So, I try to schedule something else in the area and make the drive in the late afternoon.
