History
In the beginning there were hardly any drum circles and no other Tampa bay drumming meet up groups... not until TCDC put it on the map created a drum community. Now there is practically a drum circle every night of the week -the drumming community has thrived!! please visit the calendar on this group page to view listings of current & active drum circles throughout the Tampa bay area and beyond. There are some however some that have asked us not to post them because they are not open to the general public.
please also join us on Facebook
Fire spinners hula hoop artists and dancers welcome!
Drum = FUN
Drums:
Drums are not usually provided at this community drum circle, however I will do my bst to make sure there is someone renting some....otherwise some drummers may allow you to borrow theirs but always ask before playing someone Else’s drum. If they do... please remove jewelry while playing someone else drum for it can damage the drum head and can cause hand injuries. Playing a hand drum with a drum stick is just as damaging if not more and; hand drums are very costly so please respect each others drums. Parents please supervise your children handling drums… We many drum masters in our community that make or sell drums and hold teaching/ building drum workshops.
sorry metal drum kits and stick drums are not welcome, Base drums and frame drums are ok
