I downloaded Azure yesterday from MSDN Academic Alliance, but I received an error that it was for Win 8 and I am running WIN 7, so then I downloaded and installed Virtual PC to install Win 8 virtually, and THEN run Azure, but keep getting resource needed errors. :-( Will keep trying

Make sure you have Azure before the event. If you are a NOT a startup, sign up for the free trial at http://bit.ly/azure200 . If you meet the following qualifications, I can get you a bizspark account. Email me directly at [masked] for the 'quick' route.

Your startup qualifies for BizSpark if you are:
    Developing software or apps
Less than 5 years old and privately held
    Making less than US$1M annually

Gets you MSDN sub w 2 x-small instances
    Email [masked] directly.

Joe, if more than one person attends (from the same company) should each person sign up for the trial (individually)?

It would probably be easiest. Otherwise you get in a mess with the same azure developer logins.
