We had a great turn out last time, and I'm sure everybody had a good time! Thanks for coming out and playing games with us!
The games we selected this week are all currently featured on the new releases shelves at Anthem Games. If you've played some of these before, come on out and school us on how it's done. If not, come on out and play with us, and learn these great new games. As always, be sure to support our Friendly Local Game Store!
Here's what's on our list for our next meeting:Carcassonne: The City
: This is one of the very nice version of this award winning line of games. In the original game, we created the walled cities and the landscapes around the famous town in France. In this game, we're creating the city itself, complete with walls and towers. Many of the same core mechanics of the original tile laying game are here, but there are some interesting new twists. (Ben, if you'd like to bring your copy, we could play two games of this at once, if we're over 4 players). Ra
: Set in the golden years of Egypt, this is one of the very best of Reiner Knizia's auction/bidding games. You'll be bidding on sets of tiles each turn, trying to complete sets, and building the collection that will maximize your points. This is a truly unique and original game from one of the masters of modern game design.Pandemic: On the Brink
: Warning! Not a complete Game! This expansion adds a lot of great twists to the original game, with options for more players, all new roles, some very bad diseases, and even a new role that allows one player to be working against the team, spreading disease instead of curing. This expansion includes some really nasty new options, so suit up and prepare to keep the world from slipping Right On Over The Brink!Last Night On Earth
: Ahh... the fresh crisp breezes of autumn always reminds me of my first Zombie game. *sigh* Here's a new game based on the Zombie genre (and we all know that gamers love them some Zombies!). This game pits the Zombies against the stereotyped and hackneyed roles of Zombie-fodder that we've all come to know and love. Can you help the hapless humans survive the onslaught?
Join us and enjoy learning some great new games!
