Christchurch TealNZ Meetup
Details
We are delighted to be introducing Teal NZ in Christchurch. Please help spread the word!
The first Christchurch session will be Teal 101 :
What does Teal mean? How can self-management, wholeness and evolutionary purpose bring about the change we all seek? Join us for Teal 101, as we begin our exploration of these concepts with an intention for action. What can we do to spread the word and start implementing elements of Teal for ourselves, our organizations, and New Zealand?
Our first meetup will be facilitated by Susan Basterfield, focusing on the principles of Teal and co-sensing ideas for practice. Susan has lived/worked in 20 different countries and chose NZ as home in 2003. A polymath and generalist, most of her working life has been dedicated to leading teams in IT and Telco – from startups to multinationals. She has served as MD to a global bungy jumping empire, head teacher for an alternative education school for at-risk youth, and mentors tourism companies in NZ, Mongolia and France.
Her mission is tilling the soil for Teal breakthrough, as co-convener of TealNZ (https://www.meetup.com/tealnz), the New Zealand linchpin for Teal for Teal (http://www.tealforteal.com/) and as a co-creator in the responsive.org (http://www.responsive.org/) Organisational Ecology project. Susan has recently completed the altMBA (http://www.altmba.com/), and was the recipient of the Perkins award for the most exceptional body of work. She facilitates Holacracy (http://www.holacracy.com/) style governance for Ooooby (http://www.ooooby.org).
A self-professed ‘community straddler (http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2002/6/23/15463/8603)’, she is passionate about Professional Learning Communities and Working out Loud (http://www.workingoutloud.com/). She believes we can strongly leverage agile technology practice and tools to enable and encourage self organisation, wholeness, and evolutionary purpose.
