Meet Time: 9:00AM Ride-Out Time: 9:30AM Miles: 30
Category: Category 2 - Medium pace (10-12 mph)
Terrain: 2 - some rolling hills Rain Policy: Rain Cancels

Description: EVERYONE is welcome and encouraged to join Team Long Beach for this scenic and fun 25 mile ride around the city that Bicycling Magazine voted the second most friendly bicycle city in the US.  We will meet at Reservoir Park at 9AM and please be prepared for our safety presentation at 9:15AM. (Mandatory)

Don't let the name of this ride scare you off.  If you know Long Beach at all you are probably saying to yourself; "What hills?  There are no hills in Long Beach!"  True enough, but there ARE inclines and bumps and we are going to go ride up and down the ones we CAN find to start getting used to climbing.  None of the climbs will be all that difficult and this will be the perfect chance to get used to using ALL your gears!  Our pace will be comfortable and ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME.

There is also an optional 12 mile flat option that is available as well.

Both routes will be a friendly and easy pace and ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME. NO RIDER WILL EVER BE LEFT BEHIND.

*Note: There is NO requirement to be a member of Team Long Beach or to be riding in AIDS/LifeCycle to join us.  We offer our safe, friendly and fun training rides for the enjoyment of the entire community, however, it is an official training ride for AIDS/LifeCycle.  So come on out, make some new friends and pedal your cares away.*

Required items for all Training Rides.

Bike (In safe and good working order)
2 Water Bottles (1 with hydration/electrolyte mix)
Spare tube
Tire levers
Snacks (energy bars are good and quick!)
