RockStar Mayhem Festival Veteran Outreach Opportunity!
Hosted by Team RWB Augusta
Details
A woman named Elenie Reece and her husband founded and run the “Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival,” every year. It is a 26 city national tour of hard rock music (this year’s headliner is Rob Zombie). http://rockstarmayhemfest.com
The Reece’s are huge Veterans advocates and have a special area and a large tent at each festival called the “Metal of Honor,” in which Veterans get to enter a raffle to meet the bands, get bracelets, win prizes, and generally get special treatment - in addition to connecting them with support resources in their communities.
At each show, there are an AVERAGE OF 250 VETERANS who visit the tent and sign up for Metal of Honor. Multiply that by 26 shows, and that is a total of 6500 Veterans that we can have easy access to, for outreach purposes.
This is a great opportunity to have a presence at the concert and conduct outreach - it should be very easy to manage as a prepositioned TeamRWB tent and signage will be set up at the first tour stop - they will transport it throughout the country for us. We just need to have people fall-in on it at the festival. It will be secured at the last tour stop of the year.
We need volunteers to work the booth at the Metal of Honor tent. They will get free tickets, and other special treatment. The Reece's will provide up to 20 free tickets to give to your membership at each tour stop. Our chapter will be working with the Atlanta chapter in this effort! Veterans love energy drinks and hard rock, so this could be a chance to touch base with high concentration of individuals in one location. Please RSVP to indicate your desire to be a volunteer at this event!!!
