RUN as ONE

On May 18th, we will hold an event with Team Rubicon to formally launch our new partnership with this great organization as well as to honor Marine veteran Clay Hunt - an original member of Team Rubicon - who lost his battle with PTSD and depression.

Like us, Team Rubicon seeks to enrich the lives of veterans by connecting them to their communities. While we do this through physical and social activity, Team Rubicon does it by harnessing the experience and expertise of veterans and other community members to conduct emergency response to disasters within the U.S. and around the globe. May 18th is Armed Forces Day, a day that celebrates collaboration between the services. Team RWB and Team Rubicon are two complementary organizations with similar goals. The potential exists to be of member of both - connect with others while exercising with Team RWB, and deploy with Team Rubicon to disaster areas to provide relief when needed and able.

Our event will take place at 8 am at Riverview Park in North Augusta. We will meet in front of the recreation center and everyone will have the option to run or walk 3.1 miles (5K). After the run, we will have a social with food and drinks provided. Everyone who attends the event will receive a free, custom Run as One t-shirt from New Balance. The shirts will have both team logos on them and are a great way to commemorate the event.
