Africa Wellness Initiative is a 501(3)c Non-Profit Charity, a foundation for women infected with HIV/AIDS and orphans and vulnerable children in Southern Sub-Saharan Africa. It is a grassroots social network that was created to assist Zimbabwean mothers and orphans impacted by HIV/AIDS. The group has been started to continuously introduce the topic, raise funds to help key initiatives and update the progress on those projects.

AWI is currently working on projects to:

1. Raise funds to ship medical equipment and supplies that are critically needed in hospitals and clinics in Zimbabwe.

2. Raise funds to house, clothe, feed and educate orphans impacted by HIV/AIDS at a partnering orphanage.

3. Raise funds to aid orphans and vulnerable children and pregnant women in need of HIV testing and treatment for unborn children to not contract HIV from Mom at a partnering NGO.

4. Raise funds for technology and supplies for partnering medical & research NGOs (non-government organizations) providing services to hospitals, clinics & orphanage(s).

Anyone with an interest in HIV/AIDS, orphans, critically under-supplied and under-staffed hospitals and/or clinics, a passion for Zimbabwe or a desire to help those that simply want to live are welcome to join Team Zimbabwe.
