Our Partner: UCLA (http://startup.sscnet.ucla.edu/)
Event Details:
This event will help you translate your vision into a UX (user experience) design that is easy to use and looks super cool. This event will help you deliver a superior user experience every time to your users.
Never before, has LA seen so many talented designers all in one room and all who are thrilled to help our attendees. We'll start off with a presentation of why you need a great User Experience (UX). Then, select members will present screen shots of their app/website LIVE to our panel of 6 guests and get their suggestions and guidance on how to improve their UX. Q&A to follow.
Because we'll be partnering with UCLA, there will be tons of technical developers among others. This will be a great opportunity to use your "elevator pitch" that you learned in our previous event, to intrigue and attract cofounders to your startup!
Many top tech companies in LA will be sending their Lead UX Designers to this never before ground-breaking event.

Design played a key role in pivoting Chill's product and core experience from a Turntable for video into a fast growing social video platform funded by Kleiner Perkins, Redpoint, Atlas, CrunchFund, Science, 500 startups, Sky and Troy Carter (Lady Gaga's manager). With over 11 million registered users, Chill is a proven case-study in contemporary social design.
He has recently left Chill and joined Look.io, one of LA's hottest new tech companies, as the Head of Product.
Asher earned his BS in Design from Cal State University, Northridge (CSUN) and a BA in Design from Campbell University, NC.
He started his career in the music industry. He worked in licensing and new media until he saw an opportunity to build something great in online music licensing. After an unsuccessful product and learning many valuable lessons therein, he became the Product Lead at ONZRA, a tech consulting agency out of Hollywood. At ONZRA, Asher deeply imbedded his roots in the Los Angeles tech scene.
Following ONZRA, Asher joined Chill's product team as the UX Designer.
When Asher is not submerged in designing or thinking about product, he loves traveling and playing his guitar.
Why is he in LA?
“…Los Angeles is the best city in the world. The amount of energy, talent, and financing coming into the tech industry in Los Angeles is booming. It's a really exciting place to be.”- Asher Hunt

Sarah MacKinnon > Senior UX Designer was born in Silicon Beach and went on to live in New York wherein she got her start in design, churning out posters for the music industry. Upon following her manifest destiny back to Los Angeles, she was given the choice to either get into entertainment or interactive design. Thankfully, she joined the latter (print is dead!). After a stint working with a nonprofit tech company in Santa Monica building out sites and mobile campaigns, she moved on to join the redesign team at Myspace in 2010.
After that venture proved wildly successful, Sarah moved on to join the UX team at eHarmony, wherein she is currently entrenched in a site redesign for both desktop and mobile platforms. Her hobbies include cracking jokes on product managers and painting.
She earned her BA in Medieval Aesthetics (Magna Cum Laude) from New York University(NYU) and her Associates in Design Communication Arts from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
