About the Event
There is an unbelievable high that comes with being an entrepreneur and building your own empire. The gratification that comes from owning something that millions of people around the world uses is unparalleled. If only other people can share this incredible feeling with us! Of course, we won't pretend that this journey is all rainbows and unicorns. It is filled with the intermittent nightmare. This applies to anything ever worth having in life.
This is the reason why TechChic is screening a motivational documentary filmed by two Icelandic girls to unite the growing startup community in Los Angeles. We hope that this documentary, The Startup Kids (http://thestartupkids.com), will help demystify the entrepreneurial process and empower more people to pursue their creative dreams.
According to Startup Genome (http://thenextweb.com/insider/2012/11/20/tel-aviv-la-and-seattle-are-ahead-of-new-york-city-in-a-new-global-ranking-of-the-top-20-startup-ecosystems/), Los Angeles ranks #3 in startup ecosystems of the world and we want to play a part in contributing to this wonderful scene.
There is also a bigger cause at stake here. Coming to U.S job growth, new firms add an average of 3 million jobs in their 1st year, while older companies lose 1 million jobs annually.
Bring your business cards and bring your smile because we will have a videographer and photographer covering this event!
