Lightning Talk
Release Cadence Report (http://releasecadencereport.com) is an attempt to refocus the industries Agile conversation back towards "working software is the primary measure of progress" from the rules and ceremonies of Agile methodologies. Ryan Cromwell will discuss the source of this effort, how you can get involved and how the industry can benefit.
Kata
Similar to a session of Code Retreat, the group will choose and do a Coding Kata (http://codekata.pragprog.com/2007/01/code_kata_backg.html), saving 15 minutes at the end to discuss what we've learned.
At times we'll do a Randora format where we rotate the driver at the projector while the audience talks through the problem. Other times we break into pairs were different languages, tools and constraints are used and finally contrasted.
IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to bring food and drink as we’re not actively looking for a sponsor.
