What Really Matters in the 21st Century IT World

The doors are wide open for those folks who are passionate about all things technical. BDPA meetups encourage fun, socializing and high level talks on a variety of technology topics. IT recruiters and IT job seekers are both welcome!

Since the beginning of the 21st century, our society has witnessed a great increase in technological advances, and this has affected lifestyle in various ways. For example, technology changed the way schools educate their children through the use of computers in classrooms and the emergence of online education. Technology affects our lifestyles in this century in other ways, too.

We want to open up a wide-ranging discussion about some of the new realities in IT … what really matters in the 21st century in a variety of areas that may include:
- Empowering our Youth to Make “The Next Big Thing”
- Human Capital Management and Business Process Transformation
- Participation in an innovation economy – Diversity and Inclusion
- Policy Matters More Than Ever: The Obama Administration

Todd Q. Adams is our guest speaker for this professional networking and informational meeting hosted by BDPA. Todd has over 25 years of experience as a technology and energy management professional. He holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Howard University. Adams has delivered solutions to clients within the electric utility, water utility, and government sectors. As a C-level consultant and technology strategist, he helps clients to better deliver on economic, environmental, and social outcomes. We look forward to engaging all attendees about technology and volunteerism opportunities with BDPA here in greater Cleveland.

This meeting is open to any professional discipline with interest in IT.

Todd Q Adams gave life to a very thought provoking, insightful and impactful message about "what really matters....". Often people talk aboout game changers, but dont really talk about the underpinnings of the game itself. I think the presentation to show why the infusions of capital into education, healthcare, infrastructure and energy showed why these are not just urgent priorities, but the foundations of a desired future. Very well done Mr. Adams!

I look forward to sharing. It is absolutely imperative that we have many young people in attendance. Please invite IT college students, 20-something professionals, etc. The success of this event will depend on participation from those that will shape the future.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
