Have you ever considered how insidiously the Printed Circuit affects every facet of modern life? This technology is present in just about everything that requires some intelligence to run – from simple devices like radios, ceiling fans and toasters to super computers, robots and broadcast infrastructure. So what exactly are Printed Circuits? Why are they so indispensable and how do they function? What’s the future for Printed Circuitry? How do we relate Printed Circuit Technology to our own ideas for new products and services? How does this technology affect our economy, the workforce, national security and globalization?
Mike Hawkins (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/mike-hawkins/19/712/b36), our guest speaker for this professional networking and informational meeting, is one of those rare individuals who can answer these questions. Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and has had quite an illustrious career spanning a few decades. In that time he has worked for many of the major market leaders - at Bailey Controls and Keithley Instruments companies, he worked on Product Development and Software Development Engineering. At the global giant CISCO Corporation, he worked in the Wireless Networking Business Unit as a senior printed Circuit board design engineer. He is currently a Printed Circuit Board Engineer at Safran Power USA, one of the largest global power companies in the world.

Mike is a native Clevelander, and his other interests lie in ministry, youth education and being a voice for those less fortunate. As he sees so few minorities in the industry, he has a passion for encouraging and mentoring young people to consider this technical field as their future vocation.
Our meetups have proven to be an excellent venue to exchange ideas and talk about web technology, innovation, open source, share our knowledge and experience with one another. These monthly gathers are used to share the various ways that technology is changing the world. Anyone … regardless of race or color … interested in tech is welcome!
