General Guidelines:
Team can comprise of 1 - 3 people.
Use of external libraries not allowed. Team is only supposed to use the libraries provided by the SDK or core dev environment To ensure that a team does well, the team should collectively possess following skills Experience with programming languages/ frameworks like Java, C, C++, .NET, Python, Ruby for implementing the solution. Good knowledge of design patterns is desired. The problems may need implementation of design patterns and application of correct patterns gives you an added advantage. Experience with Manual testing, finding bugs, writing and executing test cases, etc Experience with Unit tests development and automation (Junit, Nunit, Selenium, Watir, etc) The test will comprise of 6 problems which need to be solved in 2 hours You will have internet access during the contest.
Sample Problem - Race to 100
This is a simple game played by two players. The rules are as follows
- The game start with number N which is set to 0 at start (init N = 0)
- The player take alternate turns and add a number between 1 and 10 (1<= x <= 10) to N.
- The player who does the last addition and N reaches 100 wins.
You are supposed to implement this game and a player for the game. The arguments to the game would be who takes the first turn (1 - Human/ You or 2 - Program). The game should work in this fashion once started (when computer is Player 2 i.e. takes 2nd turn)
