Bring it to the 1-Year Anniversary party at TechShop Detroit on Saturday June 1st and each person on your team (up to 5) will automatically win a free 1 Month Membership and 1 free JumpStart Class. Then, compete that day to win some awesome prizes!!

Pay attention now... Here's the rules:

1. Your bike must be a bike in the sense only that it is human-powered and that it can and will be ridden the day of the event.

2. Your bike/costume assembly must be largely "made" by you and your team. Repurposing, modifying, adding-to and hacking an existing bike to represent a Star Wars vehicle, character or scene is great! Applying stickers to an otherwise regular bike... not so great.

3. You bike does not need to be made at TechShop.

4. You do not need to be a TechShop member to enter.

5. There is no limit to the number of riders/passengers your bike may carry. Just keep it safe folks!

6. Unfortunately, no fire elements please.

7. TechShop's wise old Jedi Masters reserve the right to inspect each bike before it is ridden/raced on site and further reserve the right to deny riding rights to those bikes deemed unsafe for riders or spectators.

Prizes will be awarded for winners in the following categories

Popular Vote Categories:

1. "The Force is Strong With This One" - Grand Champion of the day.

2. Best Dark Side

3. Best Light Side

4. "Jedi Academy" - Grand Champion of the Junior League. Open to Ages 16 and under.

Race Category:

Race Winner - Open to any bike to enter. Winner is first bike ridden all the way around the TechShop parking lot track and across the finish line with a least one rider still on board. No pushing or pulling.

Divide those months up amongst your teammates however you like.
