There's a lot of hype surrounding Contact Relationship Management Systems (CRMs), and for a good reason. CRMs have been able to save companies time, money, and effort. They offer many tools that allow business owners and sales professionals to communicate more effectively with their contacts.

The problems is that there is also a vast amount of contradictory messages about what exactly a CRM is, and not enough about how to decide which CRM to choose. Small businesses are hurt the most - there are no warnings posted about how choosing the wrong CRM is costly, ineffective, and frustrating.
