Tech Hacks In The Digital Age
Details
For October, the drinks & demos event will be focused on innovative tools and services that create tech hacks for companies and consumers. Whether it's building an app without a mobile team in-house or automating your grocery shopping with a key fob, we're all looking for ways to make the technical side of business and pleasure a bit easier.
It's open format demos and networking, plus founders and engineers will be on hand to answer any and all questions from attendees. Come grab a drink, hit up all the demo tables and connect with some tech professionals, entrepreneurs and CTOs this October at Pipeline Philly.
Does your company provide a digital shortcut? Able to demo the night away on the 28th or any other night? Please fill out this form. (http://svy.mk/1RDdERD)

DEMO COMPANIES:
Compass
Compass was founded by 3 Venture for America Fellows–all of whom have parents that are business owners. We saw first-hand how most business owners struggled with creating a meaningful online presence. On the other hand, we and our peers knew how to create great websites by using tools like squarespace and WordPress. We thought, “what if we connected the dots between the people who need help with their online presence and the people that could provide that help?”, and Compass was born.
After seeing the ways bigger companies were providing web services to business owners, we knew that they had to embody three core values to customers: transparency, simplicity, and efficiency.
Luxe
Luxe (http://luxe.com/) is an on-demand valet service, similar to Uber but for parking your car. With the Luxe app, drivers can conveniently have a Luxe valet meet them at their destination and have their car parked for them in one of the company's secure lots and garages. Luxe has been praised in the NYT (http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/11/17/valet-parking-apps-eliminate-the-headache-of-finding-a-spot/?_r=2) and WSJ (http://www.wsj.com/articles/theres-an-uber-for-everything-now-1430845789) for how it has eliminated the pain of parking.
GrindHub
GrindHub aggregates popular services, like Gmail, Salesforce, Quickbooks, and Stripe, into one dashboard allowing businesses to be collaborative without all the clutter. By integrating all tools and services into a single, unified platform, users dilute work overload, increase productivity and make the online workspace simple. Basically, we help you get shit done better.
Rollerboard
Rollerboard technology is brand new. We are building Rollerboard, Inc to deliver the most amazing, magical roller board experience possible, right now offering The Limited Edition Rollerboard.
Each Rollerboard uses advanced self-balancing technology to support and move the rider. A high-speed central microprocessor using precision gyroscopes powers dual motored wheels to follow the driver's guidance. Riders control the direction of each motored wheel by tilting their feet - down for forward, flat for stop and back for reverse. Most users learn to ride a Roller Board in a few minutes and the movement quickly becomes automatic.
