This seems like fortuitous timing for those who were interested in an online HCI/UX course:

"We are excited to announce that the third offering of our Human-Computer Interaction course will begin this April 1st! Based on your feedback, we've revised the assignments, peer assessment, and overall experience to make the course even better. Thanks to all of you who encouraged us to offer the course again.

Regarding a previous question, I believe Stanford Startup Weekend is for students/affiliates only for reasons of funding.

Sorry, for I'm sure I will be missing something worthy, shared by good people. Instead, I'll be attending an IEEE magnetics meeting tonight. It's tough to choose only one of two excellent opportunities.

I hope this isn't a dumb question. Because of the pricing nature of some data plans, bandwidth limitations at remote locations, and presumed 15 second clip duration limitation, is part of the user experience valuation based on brevity of the information being transferred? If so, is a proprietary compression methodology being considered or in use that takes advantage of this (for example, frame count as a short integer) or are the implementations short clips using existing standardized formatting?
