Making The Switch to Cassandra from MySQL at Taboola, Including Benchmarks

Details

I'm glad to announce our first Tel Aviv Cassandra meetup, sponsored by Taboola (https://www.taboola.com/) and DataStax (http://www.datastax.com)!

For the first time, we will meet together and exchange our Cassandra experiences, ask questions to each other and have some fun. There will be a presentation by Daniel Chen about their use of Apache Cassandra at Taboola, followed by a Q&A session.

I hope you're able to make it!

Presentation Abstract

Daniel will talk about why Taboola.com (http://taboola.com/) chose Cassandra as their NoSQL implementation. He will dive into how they moved from a large MySQL replication based topology to a faster and more scaleable Cassandra cluster. Daniel will discuss how they used the New Relic (http://newrelic.com/) platform on their benchmark environment to measure the performance benefits of Cassandra.
