Making The Switch to Cassandra from MySQL at Taboola, Including Benchmarks

I'm glad to announce our first Tel Aviv Cassandra meetup, sponsored by Taboola and DataStax!

For the first time, we will meet together and exchange our Cassandra experiences, ask questions to each other and have some fun. There will be a presentation by Daniel Chen about their use of Apache Cassandra at Taboola, followed by a Q&A session.

I hope you're able to make it!

Presentation Abstract

Daniel will talk about why Taboola.com chose Cassandra as their NoSQL implementation.  He will dive into how they moved from a large MySQL replication based topology to a faster and more scaleable Cassandra cluster.  Daniel will discuss how they used the New Relic platform on their benchmark environment to measure the performance benefits of Cassandra.
