Mountain Bike Ride @ Diamond Valley Lake

We will meet at the Western Center for Archaeology and Paleontology and we will ride up the main road to the Diamond Valley Lake Kiosk and pay a $2.00 per person trail fee for a day pass or purchase a 1 year pass for $25.00. This is a very easy (but long-approx. 23 miles) ride and it should take approximately two hours. The pace is easy and we regroup as often as necessary. The majority of the ride will consist of fire roads with asphalt at the three man-made dams. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen and a camera as there are plenty of spectacular views. Mountain, Hybrid and Crossover bikes with knobby tires welcome!

For those who do not wish to tackle the initial hill up to the trail head, there is parking at the lake (note: cost is $7.00 per vehicle plus a $2.00 trail fee. If you wish to go this route, please let me know and we'll meet you in the lake's parking lot.
