Tempe Knitters give away a Knit Picks Ball Winder, Tuesday June 25th!

It's time for the monthly raffle!

Transform hanks or skeins into compact center-pull balls that sit nicely while you knit. Some knitters prefer to hold their ball winder while some prefer to clamp it to a table, so Knit Picks created a ball winder that could do both. Use the clamp for tables or connect the ergonomic handle to use when you want to hold it. Best when used in tandem with a Yarn Swift. Ball winder holds approx 100 grams or 3.5 ounces of yarn.

Note: The metal yarn guide arm comes folded against the ball winder for shipping. The guide arm needs to be moved and positioned opposite the winding handle for correct operation.

As a reminder (if you're new or haven't been here in a while) the monthly prize is different than the weekly raffle. The prize is much nicer, for one thing! If you'd like to be in the drawing, it's another $1 per ticket to participate. Past prizes have been Malabrigo yarn, swifts, Soak wash sets ... so it's good stuff! You don't have to be present to win for this one.

If you've been thinking about attending but haven't yet, please do come! We're all quite friendly and this group exists to help others with their current projects!

Wildflower Bread Company is located inside Chandler Mall, between Dillard's and Macy's. There is a mall entrance right next to Wildflower.

If you're a brand-new knitter -- that is, if you've never picked up needles before -- or if you learned several decades ago and can't remember at all how -- This group is mainly a social group, and while we love being helpful, this group is not set up to teach brand-new knitters! I highly recommend learning from a knitting master, and we do have a lovely lady in our group who is both a knitting teacher and a knitting master!
