Full Moon Ceremony
Details
Join us for a Native style full moon ceremony as we honor the Earth spirits, Guardians and Ancestors of this land. We will call on the energies of similar ceremonies that have been held here on this Sacred Temple site since the days the Mammoth roamed here. The full moon has long been honored for it's mystical experiences and ability to excite energies from deep within us. Add an ancient sacred site to the evening and anything could and sometimes does occur.
The evening's ceremony, led by the Moundkeeper, Steve DerDerian, will start off with group drumming, this is usually followed by a short history of the sacred sight, and then a chakra clearing visualization or negative energy releasement ritual. This will be followed by a guided meditation calling on the ancestors wisdom and support. The evening will conclude with more drumming so bring your rattles, drums and flutes as the Spirits enjoy a good musical.
Please bring a folding chair, blanket and a small flashlight if you have one. We do have a few chairs and matts for those of you that may not own one. However these do go quickly. In the event of inclement weather the evening's event will be moved indoors.
There is no participation fee for this celebration, however there will be a basket passed for donations, to help with the Temple Site's ongoing restoration and upkeep. Please review the Temple Site protocols if you have not done so already. You may find them at http://www.TempleMound.com/facilities/the_temple_mound.php .
