This event is for intermediate players, and has been requested by George, so he had better show up :) If the weather looks iffy, or if you find you absolutely must change your RSVP to "no" on Thursday, please text or call me at[masked]-5087.
This group is for anyone who wants to have fun playing tennis, meeting new tennis players, and simply enjoying the sport.
Tennis doesn’t work with 3 players, and even less with 1.
LEVEL OF PLAY:
We have found that it is more fun for everyone if players are evenly matched. Therefore we arrange games at different levels, and everyone is restricted to games within their level: you may join a lower level game, but NOT a higher level game. Games for "All levels" are just that!
The weather can be a challenge - so if adverse weather conditions happen please text or phone the organizer and share your knowledge. The organizer will officially cancel the game if necessary. Any player opting out of the game on game day before the game is cancelled is choosing to complicate the game and the life of everyone concerned. Not kewl!! Those players who make it complicated may find that they are excluded from certain events, or that other players don’t want to play with them. We insist on it remaining UNCOMPLICATED!
Our events are free except for official lessons and some social events as stated. As of May 1st, 2016, there will be a one-time fee of $5 payable prior to approved of membership. Any additional funds collected above the expenses of the Meetup fees will go towards social events, tournaments, etc. for the group -- not into the Organizer's pocket!
So, to recap: your organizers are volunteers working to give you fun! Please don’t make it more difficult or we will bring back the cat-O-nine tails, public flogging, or the stocks ;) You don’t change courts unless approved, you don’t change your RSVP on game day (without discussing it with an organizer), and you don’t quit a game because there are uneven numbers or because you think it is going to rain. If you do these things, you will be given a “no-show” so organizers can see how naughty you have been. If you collect lots of “no-shows” they may exclude you from certain events!! (Ouch!)
Oh yes, one more thing . . . . organizers will not tolerate lippy, argumentative, disrespectful, rude or arrogant people in the group! So, play nice with the organizers, and they will play nice with you!
For more ‘deets,’ ‘rulers’ and ‘reggaes’ turn to “Pages.”
“So join in, play nice, be considerate of others, and have fun doing it.”
