Ohio's most experienced, most comprehensive training in Jujitsu and self-defense, period! By the only instructor trained in Japan and South America. Our classes cost HALF or less what others charge. We teach in existing community facilities, and offer classes at reasonable rates for the benefit of the public. We hold year-round group and private classes and monthly seminars on a wide range of topics. Currently, all classes are held in Willoughby and Kirtland, just 20 minutes east of downtown Cleveland. All aspects of training are optional and NO Previous Experience is Needed. Students can register for any or all classes or seminars as they choose.

Our next SEMINAR is The Art of HanboJutsu (3-Foot Staff), March 4th, 2012, Sunday, 10am - 12noon, at the Browning Center in Willoughby:
Hanbojutsu has long been an important element of Jujitsu and Ninjitsu training, as well as a highly regarded martial art in its own right. Because of its smaller length, the hanbo (half-staff or 3-foot staff) can easily be used within confined areas. It is an excellent weapon to keep in your car or at home for personal defense. Both ends, as well as the entire length of the hanbo, can be used to deflect, block, strike, lock, or choke an assailant.

It is effective against unarmed attackers, multiple attackers, and attackers armed with club or knife. Practice exciting drills to become comfortable in handling the hanbo. Learn easy-to-remember combination techniques you can practice at home by yourself to quickly improve your speed and ability. An approved hanbo is required for the seminar. You may bring your own, or rent or purchase one at a reduced price the day of the seminar (We suggest you reserve a hanbo with the instructor at jstrans1@yahoo.com). NO Prior Experience Needed.

A uniform and all aspects of training are optional. We personalize the instruction for you. Jujitsu training, like real self-defense and life, should not be one-size-fits-all. We teach real Jujitsu, real traditional martial arts. Try out a 2-hour Sunday seminar, or a class for just six or seven weeks. NO contracts or lengthy commitments. NO prior experience or overpriced uniforms required. Students can attend any or all classes. Take your pick. You are always welcome to make up missed classes during each session.
We've been teaching for over 30 years in Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga and Summit Counties, including at Lakeland College for over 10 years (Continuing Education). Countless students and instructors from all over Northeast Ohio and the Midwest, as well as from across the nation and overseas, have come to us for Jujitsu, self-defense, grappling and weapons' instruction.
My teacher and friend of 30 years is a retired Japanese police captain and chief instructor of Jujitsu and Taihojutsu (Japanese Police Arresting Art; police self-defense or defensive tactics is NOT Taihojutsu). That long association causes us to teach in a realistic and straightforward manner. No fluff, no flying side kicks or overly complicated maneuvers that will land you on your butt. We stick to business.
