Mardi Gras Parade 2012

News regarding lunch at the Galvez- We will still park there (valet $7.00), but no lunch at the hotel. We can still use the hotel facilities/bar. I have reservations at 2:00 at Miller's Landing. If you do not want to eat there, there are several restaurants within walking distance (Millers, Salt Grass, Fish Tales, The Spot). We need to get there early to park because traffic gets very bad and roads are closed.

This is a family event! The little TFRs had a wonderful time last year, so bring the kids! We are not down on the Strand around the drinking and chaos. Meet at the Hedgpeth's at 1:00 Drive down to Galveston. Those that are already down in Galveston can meet us there.

6:30pm- Knights of Momus Grand Night Parade We'll be on Seawall right across from the Galvez. Traffic is usually very bad, and the Seawall is packed early. If you want to meet up in Houston and ride down together, please make those plans. We are taking our truck because of the crazies out there, so if anyone neeeds to put stuff in it, feel free. We can also car pool (designated driver and such). Driving back out, there is probably no possible way to stay together in traffic. We can meet back up at the Hedgpeth's to get cars, bathroom, etc.
