We welcome amateur rockhounds, professional geologists, paleontologists, archeologists and anyone who just gets a kick out of digging in the dirt. Our adventures will include mostly day trips, with an occasional camping trip, to local sites and ranches known for specific rocks and gems that allow us to keep what we find and possibly trips to to locations beyond Texas as well.
FYI: The three current organizers of TX. Rockers live in Corpus Christi, Austin and Houston! As of October 2010 Melanie, the original organizer of TX. Rockers moved to Corpus Christi from Wimberley, but remains active with the group. For now, we will leave the location of the group as Wimberley since it is a good central location for where most of our meetups takes place.
