Texpats Happy Hour at Cowgirl
Cowgirl, 519 Hudson St, New York, NY, USIt's time for another famous Texpats happy hour! This time we'll be back at Cowgirl in the West Village.
Fall in New York has a lot going on, but we don't want to forget our true Texpats heritage: meeting up to enjoy Shiner and margaritas while lamenting the absence of proper southern vittles in the city.
Join us for a Texas happy hour at Cowgirl. Inspired by the iconic Cowgirl Hall of Fame Museum in Hereford, Texas, this lively spot became one of the first true Country Western locations in NYC when it opened its doors in 1989.
It'll be a good ol' Texas hootenanny! We'll start arriving at 6:00 PM and have ourselves a great evening.

Texpats Christmas Dinner at Good Time Country Buffet
Good Time Country Buffet, 166 1st Avenue, New York, NY, USY'all, we're closing out the year with something new: an all-you-can-eat holiday dinner at Good Time Country Buffet. 🎄
It's a straight-up recreation of the country buffets that used to be everywhere in the south, right down to the carpet on the floor and the mismatched wallpaper patched in over the years.
But this ain't your average Sizzler. Get ready for a festive spread of double-fried buttermilk chicken, rib tips simmered in barbecue sauce, collard greens braised in bacon-chicken stock, and a 3-cheese mac & cheese.
Can't fit it all? Grab a plate and go back for seconds, thirds, and fourths.
Trade the boring ham and in-laws back home for fried chicken, rib tips, and fellow Texans here in the big city.

Texpats Christmas Brunch at Yellow Rose
Yellow Rose, 102 3rd Ave, New York, NY, USLet's ditch all the Christmas kit and caboodle and get down on some real Texas brunch.
Yellow Rose in the East Village brings a San Antonio angle to the city. Opened during the pandemic, they're a "Texas-themed, plant-forward restaurant and doughnut shop."
Sign me up.
Originally a quick-service spot for tacos and plastic cup cocktails, the fare has evolved and now boasts menu items like vegan queso and homemade cherry Coke... along with margaritas and hominy powder doughnuts. See their review in The Infatuation here.

Wayne & Sons, 57 S 5th St, Kings County, NY, USOur friends at Wayne & Sons have moved to A NEW LOCATION IN WILLIAMSBURG.
Let's go get a margarita and a taco and check out their new digs. Expect hugs and laughs and the best Texas country playlist this side of the Mississippi.
This is an extra-casual version of a Texpats weekend happy hour. Come and go as you please. Wayne and Sons is family and they're guaranteed to be a good time.
