I am a fan of poetry of all varieties, and I am looking to start a meetup of people in the DC area who share this interest. All styles and preferences welcome, I'd like this to be a group for people who enjoy creativity and expression, and are interested in reading poetry from authors famous and unknown, domestic and international.

We will be reading poetry from authors of the members' choosing. Each member is encouraged to bring a poem (or a selection of a few poems) from a favorite poet, and share them with the group. You can read aloud, or you can just talk about the work with us and we can each explore on our own, at our own pace.
