It's been brought to my attention as to the true purpose of this group. Again. I'd like to clarify so everyone knows:
This particular group was/is designed strictly for beginners unfamiliar with Photoshop. I plan to individually instruct members on a 1 to 1 basis via personal weekly schedules either at home, office or wherever is convenient for them. The actual 'Meetup' is once a month where all members can get together, share and discuss their work and give and receive feedback from one-another.
This is definitely 'not' an advanced, but a very basic easy-going group to introduce folks to the wonderful world of Photoshop. If you have quite a bit of experience then this group may not be for you.
However, I've been thinking of adding a totally separate group for experienced graphic artists who are fairly knowledgeable, advanced and have a solid grasp of the software. This might better suite some of you and many others that are interested in advanced techniques and discussions. Maybe we could meet once or twice a month.
Please let me know what you all think.
Again, Please get those RSVPs in ASAP. I think by Wednesday evening I'll have a better idea as to who will be attending. I will then send out an announcement as to a venue where we will meet Sunday. More than likely, it'll be somewhere in central Austin.
I created this group to teach people how to use this incredibly fantastic program. It will be a unique educational learning experience designed specifically for beginners. I have gained quite a bit of knowledge and insight working in the field with one of the most popular, powerful and professional photographic software programs ever created.
Many of you have expressed an interest and desire in learning the true impact of what Adobe Photoshop has to offer. Now is your chance to explore the endless possibilities of photo enhancement, restoration, modification, and manipulation.
Be sure to browse through the examples posted in the 'photos' section. Also check out some of the happy faces from past Photoshop Meetups!
If you can think it ... you can create it! With Photoshop ... the sky's the limit!
