Hey there!

Our next meeting is set for Friday, March 26 at 7pm at the Merritt Athletic Club in Towson, MD. The Merritt is located off of Joppa Rd. The topic for this meeting will be race nutrition, hydration and pacing. Many of us will be starting our season in early May and now is the time to start making your nutrition second nature.

The last thing you want to do is to be 3 days before your big race and have no idea how you are going to fuel yourself through the race! How many calories do I need to take in so I don't bonk??? How much water, gels and gatorade do I need??? Do I really need to count calories?? In addition to all the training that you'll have been doing prior to your race, you need to have "fuel in the tank" and all that sort of good stuff the day of your race. A cup of coffee just won't cut it! You're not hopping in your car and going to work - you are going to compete and give it all you have. The best way to do that is to be prepared! So, join us at the Merritt and learn what you need to do to be the best of race day through nutrition, hydration and pacing! Not a topic to be missed!!

Our speaker is Kevin Joubert, a USAT Level II certified coach and USMS Level IV coach. Kevin has been racing for some time now, including everything from sprint races to ironman distances. Now is the time to get your nutrition together, don't wait until race day and have no idea what you should be doing!! This is one less area that you will stress about if you are prepared!
