We encourage adult musicians, especially pianists, to join. Beginners to advanced. Play a classical, blues, jazz or your own composition in a relaxed setting. Encourage members to play with other members, i.e., piano four hands or combinations of other instruments. We wish to reintroduce the practice of Hausmusik, house music, that is, music played by non-professionals or by professionals just for the fun of it. We admire professional musicians a great deal, but feel that music is far too important to leave it all up to them.

What members are saying

If you love music, play an instrument or sing, and are either so good a musician that you don't have to practice much or are willing to practice and collaborate with others, this is the group ...

There is real opportunity for playing music with good and dedicated musicians. ...

“I enjoy playing the piano and singing. I've belonged to a local Sweet Adelines chorus since 1995, but haven't played the piano with other musicians since high school jazz band; this sounds like a great way to sit at the piano with others.”
