Re: [vegan-29] Discussion: PETA Thanksgiving TV Ad

Yes, the ad should be aired; it tells the truth! TV networks and folks who reject these kinds of ads have their heads in the sand. They do not want their illusions about what they eat to be turned into the true, cold hard facts; that a living, sentient being was killed for their pleasure and gluttony.
PETA is against animal abuse in EVERY form, ( entertainment, sport, food ,experiments).... for the animal's sake and our sake, also.
PETA is the largest animal rights organization in the world . Their ads cause much discussion and are therefore definitly effective. Tip toeing  through the issues is NOT effective, and not the way to proceed.                                                      Marsha k Kravetz

Subject: [vegan-29] Discussion: PETA Thanksgiving TV Ad

(replies will go to entire group email list)

Hi Meetup Member,

Here's a video of an ad that PETA wanted to run on TV during the Thanksgiving parade today. The TV networks rejected it.

What do you think of the ad? Let's assume that all the information that the little girl gave during her prayer is correct; do you think that an ad of this type is likely to be effective?

Do you think that a real life scene such as this during a Thanksgiving dinner would serve the vegetarian cause?

Replies will go to the group email list.

Peace, Don Robertson
