The Bay Area Clojure User Group Early/SF Monthly Meetup

Getting Started with ClojureScript by Siva Jagadeesan.

We've had a number of meetups on ClojureScript but most of them have covered some of the clever stuff you can do with it rather than the basics. This time we'll have an introductory look at what it takes to get up and running with ClojureScript!

More information about the venue / travel etc:

201 Third Street, Suite. 1100
(3rd and Howard in-between Chevy’s and Starbucks)
San Francisco, CA 94103

Take the elevator to the 11th floor

We are a 15 minute walk from the CalTrain station at 4th and King Street, and a 15 minute walk from the Embarcadero and Brannan Street Muni line, and a 10 minute walk from the Montgomery BART station.

There is a self-parking garage right next to our building:

Moscone Garage

Where can I find the slides? There was useful stuff there, but my memory isn't half as good as copy-paste.

A useful session especially because I was able to ask the presenter a question and get an answer which solved a current problem.

Managed to catch a cold while travelling. I don't think you want me there ...

I've injured my knee and may decide I don't want to walk around SF to get to the meetup tonight. The meetings seem to go smoothly without me and a Climate Corp staff member usually seems ready to MC, so I'm sure my absence won't matter.

Tonight's speaker, Siva, has also agreed to cover Clojure Deployment as a topic in a couple of months. I'd like to get volunteers for other future meetups, in particular to cover core.logic and core.typed (aka Typed Clojure).

If I don't get a specific volunteer for March, you'll get me talking about World Singles and our use of Clojure :)

Sad that I can't make it; something came up.

Don't know much about Clojure; just fragments of Scheme, but this seems quite fun.
