Return to Sutta

I have been kicking around the idea of starting a new game. I know there are something going on in a lot of peoples lives right now, so if need be I can change the date. In the meantime I am thinking about bringing back a world I created almost 2 years ago. I enjoyed creating it and ran a very cool campaign in it, at least I thought so.

So I that note I will give you a little background on my world. It is called Sutta. It was a very diverse land with many of the races living in moderate peace with each other. Over 300 years ago there was a huge Goblin uprising, and the combined strength and determination of the Dwarves, Taur, friendly Giants, and Goliaths defeated them.

It has be over 200 years since the Goblin Resurgence, a situation arose that called for the Elves from the Sea of Trees to ask for help from the Taur nation when they gave none before. They gave aid because they saw a darkness coming that would cover the world. In the ensuing adventures and battles, many people would lose their lives, some in battle some to become lesser gods, some to be sacrificed to other gods.

Since then the humans have spread their influence and expanded their nations. The Taur, Dwarves, and Goliaths, have formed their own formal nation. The Elves have all but cut off all contact to the outside world.

Our story shall begin the the capital of the human nation Daiss. They are preparing for a large celebration to honor their new ruler, and possible a peace treaty with the Nation of Bloodstone.

So if you are interested please feel free to RSVP or contact me. I will go over what classes and races are allowed later.

Bringing a half-orc Ranger if that helps

No idea what other people are bringing. As far as the cold, I think it should be ok. We will be kicking the game off today. That is one draw back of 4th Ed. It's hard to have a character creation session when there are so many options for your powers. PLus my printer is acting up so I don't have a way to print anything off.

Oh, and P.S. Do you have any idea what types of characters the others are bringing, or is this a character generation session? I have a half-orc barbarian I'm working on, but am flexible and willing to do a cleric or some other type of character if we need a healer or a spellcaster instead.

Happy to bring snacks. Question, though - I am on the tail end of the worst cold I've had in a long time, and can't guarantee that I'm past the "I could be contagious" stage. Am I still welcome, or is there a quarantine on half-orcs suffering from the ague?

So we are planning on Pulled Pork for food. If some of you could bring snacks that would be great.

Oops forgot to add the Eladrin as a class choice.

Do you still have an opening?

    September 26, 2013

    • Steve

      Yeah man, still got room.

If you have not made your character yet, here is how I would like you proceed with it.

For Stats, roll 4D6 and take the highest 3 results. Reroll 1's, and do that for each stat. You do not have to roll them in order, that would be too mean.
You start with 100GP and must buy all the gear you need. You should wind up with less than 30 GP by the time you are done. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask on here or e-mail me.

If anyone doesn't have the old Character Builder you can find the new Character Builder on the Wizards website. Just send me an e-mail if you need any thing.

I am going to be running this in D&D 4ed. With all of the updates coming out for D&D Next I am not digging it so much. 3.5 is fun, but after playing Jamie's Freeport game I've had an urge to breakout the 4th Ed. stuff.

So if anyone has any other questions please feel free to post them here or e-mail me
