A friend once told me, "There's as many ways to garden as there are gardeners." The more time I spend with other gardeners, the more I find this to be true.

This meetup is for any one who's ever nabbed a twig or a leaf to grow at home in a glass, triumphed over a dandelion, failed miserably at growing an exotic species, remembered the name of a favorite tree, savored the taste of a homegrown tomato, envied a neighbour's landscaping, waged war on aphids, dug an irrigation trench, fostered a native plant, used the word xeriscaping in a sentence, designed elaborate gardens in their head, collected seeds, turned a compost pile, ogled at garden magazines, handled a weedwacker, or has merely been inspired while spending time in a garden.

Even if you've never done any of the above and would like to try sometime, this group is for you. There are no such things as greenthumbs and brownthumbs, only thumbs that have been next to the soil a few more times.

My goal is to keep you all having fun outside, and to keep you informed on all the things happening in the gardening world where you live. I also hope to grow a little bit of community between us so that we can learn, share cuttings, and throw some smashing garden parties together.
