The Impact of Flood Damage - The January Boulder Real Estate Meetup

Details
September's historic floods wrecked havoc across Boulder. Many homes were completely destroyed and many other structures suffered light to moderate flood damage.

In the past, mold hasn't been much of an issue in local real estate because of our dry climate. That all changed last September. After the deluge, buyers began asking about the extent of flood damage and remediation. Sellers (and their agents) started pitching properties as having experienced no flood damage. Even lenders began asking for independent inspection and written verification regarding flood damage.
On Thursday, January 23 at 6pm - join us for a discussion on the new real estate landscape.
What are the typical costs to find and mitigate mold problems? Will insurance cover it? Should you worry about liability down the road? Brandon Apple from Mold Inspection Sciences (http://www.moldinspectionboulder.com/) ( http://www.moldinspectionboulder.com/ ) will be giving us a short talk and answering your questions on mold.
As always, we'll also have a lively discussion on market conditions. Have your market expectations "priced in" the strong likelihood of rising rates and an improving economy? Let's talk about it.
Oh, and don't forget to bring pocket listings and buyers. It's not unusual for buyers and sellers to connect at the Boulder Real Estate Meetup. Whether you're looking to buy or sell, this is a great opportunity to get the word out.
Who should attend? Typical attendees include buyers, sellers, inspectors, lenders, architects, builders, realtors, insurance agents, investors, and developers. If you have an interest in real estate, please join us.
Remember, there are no sales pitches at Boulder Real Estate Meetups. This is an opportunity to learn and interact with your local real estate community.
Special thanks to The Riverside (http://boulderriverside.com/) ( http://boulderriverside.com/ ) for hosting our event.
